What you'll need
Nothing fancy. Just three things:
- An Android phone running Android 8 or newer (most phones from the last few years).
- Your SMSDora account — if you don't have one yet, sign up and come back.
- A SIM with some SMS credit on it. This is the phone that actually sends the messages, so it needs to be able to text.
Get the app on your phone
Grab the APK from your dashboard
Open SMSDora on your computer, head to the Devices page, and hit the download button. The APK file will land on your Android phone — open it and tap install. (Android will probably warn you about installing from outside the Play Store; that's normal, just accept it.)
Say yes to the permissions
First time you open the app, it'll ask for permission to send SMS and show notifications. Allow both — without them the phone can't actually do its job.
Link it to your account
Sign in with Google
Tap Sign in with Google and pick the same account you use to log into SMSDora on the web. That's the whole pairing step — no QR codes, no copying tokens around.
Pop back over to your dashboard and you'll see the phone appear in the Devices list within a few seconds.
What's next
That's it — you've got a working SMS gateway. From here, most people either send a quick test message to themselves to make sure everything works, or jump straight into setting up their first campaign. Both are good places to go next.
